Have you ever fell asleep in your makeup? No worries, it happens sometimes.

You went out with your friends, enjoyed a night of hookah and had way too many drinks. Then you wake up and see a face full of smeared makeup.

Instead of grabbing abrasive skincare tools or scrubs, try this simple, yet effective routine to get your skin back on track, and be on your way to glowing skin again:


1. Double Cleanse

Doing a two-step cleanse is so important to get your skin as clean as possible. First apply an oil-based cleanser or light oil (such as safflower or olive oil) to remove the makeup and hydrate the skin. Follow with a gentle cleanser to remove the oil and give you a clean slate.

2. Balance and Tone

Use a balancing toner to get your skin’s pH levels back to neutral (5.5pH). Rosewater Tonic is a great natural option for all skin types or witch hazel for oilier/acne-prone skin.

3. Mask and Moisturize

Apply a hydrating mask to help your skin recover such as a Gel Sheet Mask or use pure aloe vera gel from the plant. After 10-15 minutes, remove the mask and apply an oil-free moisturizer or skin-mimicking oil such as jojoba oil.
