With spring break season in full effect you can bet there will be plenty of music releases to add in the rotation. This week, we have Larry June and Alchemist linking up for a new joint collaboration, and DJ Drama turns up his consistency with his latest release, plus Tyler The Creator reissues Call Me If You Get Lost. Don’t forget to check out my playlist for this week new singles from Rod Wave, Reason, Curren$y, Tierra Whack, and more. f

Larry June x The Alchemist – The Great Escape

Larry June has been one of the more consistent rappers over the last few years. Known for his laidback flow, Larry June has become one of my favorite artists, mainly because he has carved out his own lane. It was several years back when I heard Larry June on Jay Worthy’s project. These meetings led to June and Alchemist linking up and the rest has been history since.

The Great Escape is by far one of the best collaboration projects I heard from Alchemist. That is because Larry June is a fun rapper who doesn’t fit the mold of your favorite wordsmith/lyricist which makes this pairing one of those projects we surely will be talking about all year. The Great Escape is loaded with a ton of features that should peak the ears of hip hop heads with guest like Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Action Bronson, Slum Village, Boldy James, Evidence, and Jay Worthy. Do yourself a favor, listen to this project and tell me what your favorite track is because I have this on repeat.

DJ Drama – I’m Really Like That

DJ Drama has been busy for the last several months, dropping collaboration projects with Kash Doll, G Perico, and Symba. Now, Drama has dropped his latest project I’m Really Like That. The project guest features include Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, W Lil Uzi Vert, Jack Harlow, 42 Dugg, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Jim Jones, Wiz Khalifa, Boogie Badazz, Moneybagg Yo, Mozzy, Cyhi, LaRussell, T.I. and Jeezy. The project also features features the late rapper Nipsey Hussle in the posthumous track “Raised Different”.

Tyler The Creator – Call Me If You Get Lost (The Estate Sale)

In 2021 Tyler The Creator released his Grammy award winning album Call Me If You Get Lost. Tyler surprised his fan by dropping the news of his re-release that features several new songs including the latest single “DOGTOOTH”.
