We are closing out another month, and things seem to be running smoother than it was last year at this time. As things seem to be getting back to normal, music events and venues have been on the uprise. I’m excited about music events returning, but we still need to proceed with caution.

One thing that I can say about quarantining is that we got some good music out of it. We got Versuz, the online web series that pit some of our favorite artist against each other. Then we got NPR’s “Tiny Desk” series streaming artist from their home for some intimate music sessions. In all, this year has been off to a good start. I would make a few request that we stay in touch, don’t lose sight, and lastly enjoy some music.

DJ Khaled- Khaled Khaled

DJ Khaled has dropped a new project today, “Khaled Khaled” is the name of this star studded album. The “we the best” rapper has enlisted a couple of heavy guns for this album to make it worth my while. Jay-Z, and Nas are collaborating on the song “Sorry Not Sorry” featuring James Fauntleroy.

My question to you all is what song will you be playing first? I’m looking forward to hearing “Every Chance I Get” featuring Lil Baby and Durk, both of these artist have been making a strong impression on the music tip and this could be a banger. I can’t ignore the last track of the album “Where I Come From” a dancehall dream come true with Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer and Barrington Levy, I hope this is “another one”.

Shelley aka Dram (Self Titled)

The last time we heard a full length project from this artist he went by Dram. Shelley aka Dram has appeared to finish his sophmore project “Shelly aka Dram” and I’m happy. Shelley has an infectious smile that makes you cheer for him and I’m not ashamed to say I love the vibes he brings.

Having heard a few songs from the album, Shelley looks to follow up his debut project with more of that funky vibe. Guest appearances on the album include Summer Walker, H.E.R, and Ms. Erykah Badu. Those three guest alone suggest that Shelley is about his craft and sets the bar for high expectations.

Morray- Street Sermons

Last year this Fayetteville, North Carolina native made waves with his single “Quicksand”. With the success of his viral song behind him, Morray quickly was signed to Interscope records. Morray is captivating with his raw street style and sing song flow. The project features his break out hit “Quicksand” and his current song “Trenches” that is worth checking out.
