Let’s just say 2018 is the year of black actors and actress appearing in what certainly looks to be blockbuster hits. With Black Panther, Proud Mary, and A Wrinkle In Time kicking off the winter movie season, theaters and movie goers everywhere are in store for so much more this spring.

Kicking the spring season off, Taraji P. Henson will appear in Tyler Perry’s suspense, Acrimony on March 30. Being Mary Jane’s, Gabrielle Union will also appear in an action-pack suspense film, Breaking In on May 11.

Accompanying them in theaters are Omar Epps (Shooter, Love & Basketball), Laz Alonso (Detroit, Jumping the Broom), Paula Patton (Jumping the Broom, Baggage Claim), and Roselyn Sanchez (Devious Maids, Rush Hour) in the action-packed thriller, Traffik.

In the suspenseful thriller, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple is surprised by the arrival of two friends, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez).

Just when the weekend starts for the couples, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. When a frightened woman (Dawn Olivieri) in association with the gang shows up on their doorstep, all hell breaks loose. The foursome is then forced to fight for their lives against the gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets. The thrillers looks to have audiences on the edge of their seats as the plot unfolds and the fight to see who will make it out alive is up for grabs.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 27th. Check out the trailer below.
