If you reading this, then you probably did not go up in smoke yesterday, just kidding. I know quite the few people celebrated 4/20 day with festivities, especially in Missouri since this is the first year of recreational use in the state. Though I don’t participate in the chronic smoke, music has always been that high for me.

This weekend, the annual Record Store Day will return on April 22. Nation wide, Record Store Day has become a huge deal, whether you are lover of vinyl records or simply enjoy music this will be a good time to go to check out your local record stores. Record Store Day usually involves a lot of sales on vinyl records along with entertainment and treats for those looking for music to add to their repertoire. Maybe instead of streaming this week, you may actually pick up a physical copy of something on record.

Swizz Beatz – Hip Hop 50 Vol. 2

Hip Hop is turning 50 years old and in celebration of that, Nas’s Mass Appeal label has decided to drop new music in celebration. Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2 is the latest installment and has producer Swizz Beatz at the helm. The project guest features include Nas, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Jadakiss, Benny the Butcher, Jay Electronica, Fivio Foreign and a few others.

Killer Mike – Don’t Let the Devil In

Killer’s Mike has released his latest single “Don’t Let the Devil In,” featuring his Run The Jewels partner El-P and thankugoodsir. The single comes as a small pack and features the previously released “Run” and “Talk’n That SHIT!”. Mike’s new album Michael is scheduled for release on June 16th.

The Alchemist x Doom Genesis – No Idols

The Alchemist is back with former Odd Future member Domo Genesis. The two have collaborated on a new project titled No Idols. Anyone familiar with Domo Genesis knows that he is an emcee and paired with The Alchemist this will be a solid offering to quench the thirst of the avid Hip Hop head.

Duckman – Big Racks (Feat. BarbieBeeJamminn)

Alaskan up and coming artist Duckman has linked up with St. Louis rising BarbieBeeJamin for “Big Racks”.

NandoSTL – WEAKDAYS

Since signing to NappyBoy Records St. Louis rapper Nando has been picking up momentum. Today Nando has dropped a new single “Weakdays” ahead of his upcoming album Year of the Ape, that is scheduled to drop this summer.
