For some this may be a bit of a drive. For others living in the St Charles area, this is one of the best restaurants across the river!
I am always drawn to non-chain restaurants. I often patronize local businesses and restaurants. BC’s Kitchen in Lake St Louis definitely did not let me down. I would give Chef Bill Cardwell (chef and owner) a high-five!
It is in a great location. It is a restaurant within The Meadows of Lake St Louis. If you haven’t been to the Meadows, you have to check it out. Lots of great shopping and outside events (food trucks, farmer’s market, free concerts, etc).
For those happy hour fans (I know I always love a good happy hour), they have happy hour all day on Sundays! I love their fried chicken wing, and if you are watching the carbs, their salads are very fresh!
They have gumbo! I love a good gumbo! It has a great kick as well. It has andouille, chicken, and shrimp. Yummy!! It comes with cornbread which is very delicious. They only give a small piece, but they are nice enough to give you another piece. You have to ask for it though!
For dinner I tried the grilled house smoke baby back ribs. I can be a bit of a snob when it comes to smoked meats since I am a born and raised Kansas City bar-b-que girl. However, these ribs put a smile on my face! I was thoroughly surprised they would be this good!!!!!
The service was great! I did not have to wait long for my food at all and it came out hot. Some places you have to wonder if it has been sitting for awhile before they bring it out to you! That was not the case at BC’s.
Their prices are pretty standard. The average entree for dinner is around $20 – $35. Sandwiches range between $12 – $15 or so. I think they have good portions. So, it is worth it!
If you are in the area and/or want to make the drive, check out BC’s Kitchen . You will not leave disappointed!
