One of the best authentic Jamaican restaurants I’ve had since last time I visited Kingston. Huge portions, amazing cocktails and you must try the house special “rum punch” and a Red Stripe on the side. Owner Carlton Bracket is family owned and the customer service is amazing!

I know this article is a little old but I still wanted to thank you for putting together this list. I’ve been actively trying to put my money where my mouth is and be the best ally I can be by supporting as many black-owned businesses as possible. Lists like this one makes it much, much easier. I live in St. Charles so it’s a bit more challenging to find places near me but 2 that I love on this side of the river: Lil Mickey’s BBQ and His + Hers BBQ (Also His + Hers Fried Chicken).
