“Glory” From the Motion Picture Selma
On this day of January 19th in the year 2015 we devote ourselves to a National Day of Service. In the wake of protests most peaceful and others violent in our own backyard we honor the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and others who helped usher in an era of Civil Rights. Today we will take 150 at risk youth to see “Selma” the motion picture and hope that they may understand what challenges were overcome and help lead us into a better future.
The song “Glory” written and produced by John Legend and Common has recently won ‘Best Original Song’ at this year’s Golden Globe Awards.
