Breaking into the industry for a new artist can be a long and challenging process, but not for Peetey Weestro, his hard work, and dedication is starting to shine through. Recently landing a spot in Atlanta’s Top 20 with his hit single “Bottle Service” from his second mix tape “Eyes Don’t Lie”, is a kick off to what’s in store for 2013.
Peetey Weestro, formally known to the people back home as Pervis “PeeWee” Mac, was born-and-bred in the city of St. Louis. Music has been a part of PeeWee’s life since day one, from his mother blasting Jackson 5 throughout the entire Cochran projects to his dad hitting the road singing the Blues. Not until the death of his younger brother at the age of 10 did PeeWee realize his passion for writing. He came to music with a real-deal approach and has been orchestrating the technique of song writing ever since. Lyrically PeeWee‘s style was amazing but he had to put performing to the test.
Joining a handful of his cousin they formed the group “Cut Klick” and made a name for themselves. They traveled around the Midwest region doing shows, and making special appearances. By this time he knew his mother was right “ PeeWee was a Star”. Unfortunately tragedy hit PeeWees life again in 2010 with the death of his beloved mother. This put a damper on the group, but gave light to his solo career. “Fulfilling my mama’s dreams and making her proud” says Weestro is all he wants to. Im sure she won’t be disappointed because to the top is where he is headed.
