What’s going on y’all, August is here and can you believe school is right around the corner. That time of year when parents make the mad dash for school supplies, teachers start prepping for how they will deal with your children, and students bewilderment of summer ending and starting a new school year. What a time to be alive right, anyway I got all of you covered with my picks this week.

Yo Gotti – I Showed U So

CMG records head honcho is back with his new mixtape I Showed U So. Heading the production on the mixtape is no other than DJ Drama for their collaborative Gangsta Grillz mixtape. The project features guest appearances from Moneybagg Yo, and Rich Homie Quan. If you looking for banging beats and street anthems check out “Mandarin,” “No Fake Love,” and “Mind My Business.”

Jordan Ward – Mustard (feat.6lack)

Earlier this year St. Louis rising artist Jordan Ward dropped his critically-acclaimed debut Forward. After receiving praise for his last release, things continue to lookup for the young crooner who is on tour with with 6lack and attribute his latest song to a friendship the two may have formed on the road.

Keyon Harrold – Don’t Lie (Feat. Malaya)

Trumpeter Keyon Harrold has dropped a new single “Don’t Lie” featuring singer Malaya. “Don’t Lie” is his debut on Concord Jazz Records. Harrold will be back in St. Louis next month performing at Music At The Intersection with Pharaoh Monch, and Stout. You can listen to Don’t Lie on my Grown Up Vibes playlist which features your favorite R&B, Jazz, and Alternative sounds through out the Black music diasopra.

Usher – Good Good (feat. 21 Savage, Summer Walker)

Hold your woman close when you see Usher, I’m just playing…maybe? Today Usher dropped a new single titled “Good Good,” featuring 21 Savage and Summer Walker.
