We are back for another Friday with plenty of new music to choose from. From St. Louis rising artist Sexyy Redd, to Statik Selektah and Boldy James, we have you covered. Second, we have several new singles including Rylo Rodriquez “On Da Floor,” J Hus “Who Told You” featuring Drake, along with Che Noir dropping bars on “MF Doom Mask”. Hopefully, this will hold you all until next week when we get to this all over again.

Sexyy Red – Hood Hottest Princess

St. Louis rising artist Big Sexyy Red, or simply known as Sexyy Red these days has seen her meteoric rise thanks to “Pound Town” and her controversial cameo and video shoot for NLE Choppa’s “Slut Me Out” video. The ear tantalizing song took off earlier this year and since then garnered a remix with Nikki Minaj for “Pound Town 2”.

Today Sexyy Red dropped her debut album Hood Hottest Princess. The 11 song project features Juicy J, ATL Jacob, Sukihana, along with Nikki Minaj and Tay Keith on Pound Town 2. Sexyy Red is full of raunchy raps along hard thumping beats that will definitely have you turnt up on the floor. Songs worth checking out include “I’m The Shit,” “Sexyy Walk,” and “Born By the River.”

Statik Selektah – Round Trip

Statik Selektah is back with a new project titled Round Trip. This is the 10th album from Statik Selektah as he continues to push forward with that boom bap production that us older heads have come to covet. That said you can be assured there will be ton of rappers accompaning Selektah for the ride. A few songs that stand out for me include “Round Trip (For Dave),” featuring Poisdnous, “Unpredictable,” featuring Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Method Man, and “It’s Different,” featuring M.O.P and Cormega.

Boldy James x Chanhays

Detroit rapper Boldy James is back with his second project this year Prisoner of Circumstance. The project features production from ChanHays who has worked with Pharaohe Monch, Skyzoo, Big Pooh, and several others.

Shafiq Husayn – So Gold

Shafiq Husayn released a new project titled So Gold. Husayn has been around the music landscape for many years working with the group Sa-Ra Creative Partners as a producer. The lead single Husayn has teamed up with Anderson .Paak for “Crush You.” Husayn’s work is a mixture of hip hop, soul, funk and jazz and if you are fan of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington then you should give this a listen.
