From Summer Walker, St. Louis rising artist NandoStL, and Kaytramine; plus a few new singles you should add to your playlist to impress your friends. You should have a few songs that should make graduation season a memorable one.

Second, let me say congrats to all those seniors lining up to get that diploma, salute to the class of 2023. Whether you graduating from high school or college, this is an important time for you and your friends; so make sure you add my playlist. On a serious note, I hope you all the best and remember you all have an opportunity to be an agent of change and shape the world so choose your music picks carefully, lol.

Nando – Year of The Ape

St. Louis rising artist Nando released his debut project Year of the Ape. Entering the St. Louis music scene in 2020 Nando received critical praise for his viral hit “Outside” and won several awards before the pandemic hit. Though the music world slowed down Nando stayed consistent dropping music.

Earlier this year Nando’s consistency paid off when he entered a contest major and caught the attention of T-Pain. Since then, Nando has been working diligently with T-Pain and Nappy Boy Records to bring his project Year of The Ape to existence.

Backed by his testimonial flow Nando has a knack for making soulful songs that inspire and transform his listeners. The 11 tracks project also features guest appearances from Nelly, Yung Bleu and Nappy Boy’s Young Cash. My favorite track on the project include “Tinted Windows,” “Loud,” “Weakdays, and the title track “Y.O.T.A” which features T-Pain and Young Cash.

Summer Walker – Clear 2: Soft Life

Since her debut in 2018 Summer Walker has been grabbing the attention of everyone. Her latest project Clear 2: Soft Life EP has been one of the most anticipated albums of 2023 and rightfully so, the project features J Cole, Childish Gambino, and production credits from Steve Lacy, Solange, and John Kirby on “Agayu’s Revelation.” Do yourself a favor and check out these songs “To Summer, From Cole,” “Hardlife,” and “New Type,” Summer Walker is generational talent that should be here for years to come.

KaytrAminé – KAYTRAMINÉ

Kaytranada and Aminé have dropped their collaboration project KaytrAminé. Kaytranada who productions ranges from Hip Hop, EDM, House, and Soul is accompanied by Aminé’s alternative rap sing-song style makes for a solid album of upbeat songs that should definitely keep you in the groove. Tracks worth checking out include “4EVA” co- produced by Pharrell, “letstalkaboutit” featuring Freddie Gibbs, and “Rebuke.”

NxWorries – Daydreaming (single)

Anderson .Paak and producer Knxwledge make up the dynamic duo of NxWorries. After the release of “Yes Lawd!” in 2016, fans have been anticipating their reunion. Having release a “Here I Go” in late 2022, the duo is back with “Daydreaming” as they ready for their new project schedule scheduled to drop next month.
