October has come to an end, but before we close out the month, let me remind you to go vote! Encourage yourself, your family members, and friends to head out to the polls and cast your ballots. For my fellow Missourians, you don’t have to wait until Tuesday to cast your vote. Here is a link to find out what you need to do if you are worried about the long lines on Tuesday. https://www.sos.mo.gov/CMSImages/ElectionGoVoteMissouri/Absentee-MailinBallotSummaries.pdf

Busta Rhymes “Extinction Level Event-2”

Okay, now lets talk about the releases for this week, “-Extinction Level Event-2” and no I’m not talking about your voting choice. I’m talking about Busta Rhymes, the guy that challenged T.I. to a versus battle only for the latter to bow out expeditiously, is back after 8 years. Bus-a-Bus known for his delivery and boisterous voice is loaded with heat. His first single “Yuuuu” featuring Anderson .Paak is a slow cooker rising up the charts, and the infectious hook will definitely have you singing and wanting to bust a U in the intersection. If that doesn’t do it for you make sure to listen to his latest single “Look Over Your Shoulder” featuring Kendrick Lamar. This track features a sample from the Jackson 5 “I’ll Be There”, and it is the first song that Kendrick has been on all year (ahem…maybe a new K.dot album coming too)? Listen to these song and more on my playist below.

Queen Naija “Misunderstood”

This next artist was a former contestant on “American Idol”. Queen Naija, you may have seen her making waves on social media with her videos. Over that period of time Naija has amassed quite the following thanks to her break out hit “Medicine” from her self title ep (2018). This will be Naija’s first full length album “Misunderstood”, guest on the album include (Russ, Lil Durk, Mulatto, and Lucky Daye). I will assure you that the women in the hair salons will be putting a few of her songs in rotation.

Other Notable Releases
