Boys & Girls Club Alumni Inducted into the  2016 Hall of Honor

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is proud to announce its 2016 Alumni Hall of Honor Inductees! During the 2016 Annual Recognition event, where staff, board members, volunteers and other supporters are acknowledged and celebrated for their commitment to our Club children, David Baylor, Donald Buckner III, Michael Butler, Markita Cook, Danielle Scruggs and Christian Peebles Williams were inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis Alumni Hall of Honor.

The Hall of Honor recognizes outstanding alumni for achievements in their respective fields, commitment to leadership, serving our community’s youth, contributions to the St. Louis community and for living out the mission of the Club.

All of the alumni inductees have lived out the mission of the Boys & Girls Club movement and displayed the impact the Club can have in a member’s life. David Baylor serves as Pastor of Media and Music at Faith Miracle Temple; Donald Buckner III works for Charter Communications; Michael Butler serves as House Representative of the State of Missouri, representing part of District 79 where the Herbert Hoover Club is located; Markita Cook is a Chemist at the United States Department of Agriculture; Danielle Scruggs is a Digital Content Producer at KTVI Fox 2; and, Christian Peebles Williams serves at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis President, Flint Fowler said of the Inductees, “It’s a great honor to recognize these outstanding men and women who embody the intent of the Boys & Girls Clubs mission.”

About the Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is to inspire and enable youth ages 6 to 18 to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. For nearly 50 years, BGCSTL has been providing after-school, teen, sports and summer programs to youth in the St. Louis area while also providing a safe place for them to learn and grow. The Clubs now serve St. Louis youth at six locations (Adams Park Club, Ferguson Middle School Club, Herbert Hoover Club, O’Fallon Park Club, Hazelwood Southeast Middle School Club and Twillman Elementary School Club) and within several other schools (including Normandy High School and Roosevelt High School) and through our Mentor St. Louis Program. We are also a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
