October is coming to an end, but the good thing is we got a solid month of releases. With Drake, Offset Westside Gunn, and Sampha being the more notable releases this month. We also had artist like Jay Worthy, and Benji rounding the month out with some weighty releases. Let us hope that next month brings us some more dope project as we begin to close out 2023.

Brent Faiyaz – Larger Than Life

Last week I mentioned how r&b has been making it way back up the charts and this week is no different. Brent Faiyaz is back with new music Larger Than Life, the follow up from his Wasteland project that dropped last year. The project features solid production from Dpat, and Mannyvelli who do a good job of reminding me why Brent Faiyaz is a dope artist. It reminds me of his first project Wonder Son that I enjoyed immensely.

Guest features on Larger Than Life include Missy Elliot, Coco Jones, Asap Rocky and several others. Songs to check out include “Moment of Your Life,” “Wherever I Go, “WY@,” and “Last One Left.” I suggest you put this one on for your special someone and enjoy your weekend.

Nappyhigh – Menace

After dropping several singles over the last month Nappyhigh has finally release his new project “Menace.” Produced by himself, the 18 track project features a stellar list of emcees from Raekwon, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Boldy James, Jay Worthy, Blu, Your Old Droog, Mick Jenkins and more. If you are into soulful hip hop production and lyricist then this project is for you today.

DJ Fresh – The Tonight Show

The world’s freshest DJ Fresh has been a staple on the West Coast for the last decade. Producing for a who’s who of artist ranging from E-40 to Curren$y, Fresh’s production has become a signature sound in the Bay and abroad. The Tonight Show has been three years in the making and features just about the entire industry. If you are a fan of his production you will not go wrong on this choice.

Cyhi – Mr. Put That Shit On (feat. Pusha T)
