Happy Super Friday to those of you who will be sitting down to watch the biggest sporting event in the world. Super Bowl 57 will take place in Arizona between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Rihanna headlining the half time show events for the evening. Other notable artist performing at the event include Chris Stapleton singing the “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Babyface singing, “America the Beautiful”, and Sheryl Lee Ralph from Abbott Elementary performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”.

Lance Skiiwalker – Audiodidactic

When most people think of TDE records they think of Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q and former label mate Kendrick Lamar. Though Lance Skiiwalker may not be the household name that comes to mind. I would say he is one of the lungs within TDE breathing life into your favorite artist aforementioned above.

Lance Skiiwalker’s new album Audiodidactic is an exploration of sounds from jazz, soul, to lo-fi hip hop. This is fitting considering the title of his new project since it is a play on the word autodidact which means self taught, one could assume that Lance’s is defining his sound by stepping outside the normal boundaries we place on music. My favorite songs on the album include “Friends,” I Just Want,” “Everybody Hurts Somebody”, and the self titled track “Audiodidactic”.

Kash Doll – Back on Dexter

Kash Doll is here with a new project Back On Dexter. Hosted by DJ Drama and a part of his Gangsta Grillz series, Kash Doll makes her presence known as the boss rapper on her latest outing. The project guest features include Lakeyah, Payroll Giovanni, Pezzy, Babyface Ray, Icewear Vezzo, Sada Baby and more. My standouts on the project include “Add It Up” featuring Lakeyah, “All Hype” featuring Tay B & Babyface Ray, and “RNQ”.

BigXthaPlug – Amar

If you ever been to Texas then you know that it is a huge state. That said, BigXthatPlug is one of the big emerging artist to hit the scene from Dallas. I first caught wind of Big X on his 2022 song “Safehouse (Remix)” featuring Maxo Kream. Big X raps about the gritty tales of Dallas with an undeniable swag that should attract more listeners to his deep profound voice. Notable songs you should check out on the project include “I Know” featuring Sauce Walka, “Texas,” and “Thick” featuring Erica Banks.
