Every year, the most cultured and anticipated music festival arrives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Coined as the “Party with a Purpose”,Ā artists and supporters the sameĀ gatherĀ in the city to celebrate, embrace, and live it up for the weekend long event. The annual Essence Fest celebrated its 22nd year over the 4th of July weekend. Headliners like Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, and Chance the Rapper, grace the main stage at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome.
If stargazing wasn’t enough, the Essence Festival 2017 also included motivational seminars, beauty & style demonstrations, and of course noted Southern cuisine. Fundraiser filled the entireĀ city withĀ the oneĀ goal ofĀ giving back to the community. One particular event included the Day of Service, which includedĀ its first-ever celebrity basketball game with Master PĀ and his team,Ā Team Hope Nola. This year focused on serving the city’s seniors and the youth.
From breathtaking performances to inspiring community outreach, Essence Fest 2017Ā is one to definitely beĀ remembered.
