With a new single and upcoming EP the artist formerly known as TruthDoIt, still continues to do it on tracks and on stage. When it comes to female emcees in the St. Louis Hip Hop/Rap scene there aren’t many that compare to DaVyne Truth.

This South St. Louis native has been perfecting her craft since the tender age of 6 years old rhyming for friends and family. While life hasn’t always been easy for DaVyne Truth – in out of schools, 23, to be exact, and growing up in the foster care system because of an abusive father, she always found delight in writing music and performing.

Davyne Truth has shared the stage and opened up for artists such as Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jon Connor, Jarren Benton, Deandre Perryman, Fresco Kane, Junior, Pretty Willie, Thi’sl, Bizzle and more. DaVyne Truth was also the runner up in the Jackn For Beats contest sponsored by Jack Daniels and Atlantic Records. By way of awards, Truth was nominated in 2015 for Best Female Hip Hop Artist and in 2016 came away with a trophy for the STL Star Award for Best Female Artist!

DaVyne Truth is setting herself up for the win all 2018! Already this year she along with Ricky Mane and Miistro Freeyo have dropped one of the cities best songs in Down Down Baby, paying homage to the city’s most successful artist, Nelly as well has Jay E. The song released on 314 day was the talk of the town as it was shared all over Social Media and ran on St. Louis’ Hot 104.1.

DaVyne Truth is also featured on Grammy-nominated, and multi-Platinum producer Jay E’s album titled
“Jay E Presents ‘In The City’ Vol 1” on, 23 Rings. Truth spits venom over Jay E production, mixing auto-tune and her signature wavy lyrics. You can expect to see DaVyne Truth rock out with Jay E on July 20th at Red Bull Presents: The Mind of Jay E featuring E-40, Mvstermind, and Chingy.


In the coming months we can expect DaVyne Truth’s first EP released on her own label TruthDoIt Productions. The first single Overdose is now available on all streaming platforms. On the EP slated to be released late 2018, listeners can expect a great showcase of Truth’s skills and a few surprises. Be sure to check out DaVyne Truth’s upcoming shows.
