Cardi B is holding true to her lyrics, “I make money moves.”
After having a phenomenal, breakout summer with her single, Bodak Yellow making records, Cardi B is screaming to the world…she’s here to stay!
Last night, the New York native made a special announcement on Instagram for her fans. Revealing the cover for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, the rapper informed everyone her album was scheduled to drop April 6th. The outgoing diva poses on her cover in a black and white checkered dress coat, designed by Christian Cowan. The pop art inspired cover is certainly giving us some Lil Kim, Crush On You vibes with her yellow-colored hair and her signature tongue pose.
The album comes in much anticipation to her chart-topping release of Bodak Yellow last summer. Following the success of her single, she was nominated for her first Grammy this past Grammy season.
Since appearing on the music scene, Cardi has already made guest appearances on tracks with the Migos & Nicki Minaj (Motorsport), Bruno Mars (Finesse Remix), along with 21 Savage appearing on her single, Bartier Cardi.
The release of her album couldn’t be timed more perfectly as she is schedule to appear on SNL with Chadwick Boseman on April 7th. Later this year, she will also be joining Bruno Mars on his 24k Magic tour as the opening act.
If you thought Cardi B’s run was going to end in 2017, seems you may be wrong. From the looks of it, Cardi B is on a meteoric rise to the top with no intentions on stopping. We can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us!
