Radio Personality Tropikana Makes The Cover!

For those of us who tune into the TropHouse, we have come to recognize the bubbly, girl next door voice behind the microphone. Every week, Monday thru Friday, St. Louis tunes in to listen to Hot 104.1’s newest radio personality, Tropikana.

Whether you are getting off work or driving to, the Cleveland transfer keeps you locked in from 2pm -7pm, playing the hottest new tracks and keeping us entertained with interviews and the latest tea.

To kick off DELUX’s 10-year anniversary, we decided to get to know the woman behind the microphone. Tropikana, also known to some as “Trop” makes the cover of our February issue.

As we sat down to talk, she gave us the scoop on how she started off in radio, why she knew this was her destiny, and what being a radio personality really requires.

“One of the biggest misconceptions about people on the radio is that they do it for popularity, and it’s one of my biggest pet peeves too. But, there are so many sacrifices that come along with it,” she says.

Though she feels this is just something she loves to do, her hype is understandable. Her down-to-earth personality, and warm smile makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years.
