The Black and White Ball, one of St. Louis’ most anticipated social events, is back for 2024, promising a night of glamour, philanthropy, and star power. Hosted by Grammy Award-winning rapper, actor, and entrepreneur Nelly, the black-tie gala is set to take place on Sunday, December 15, at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.

First launched in 2006, the Black and White Ball quickly became a staple of St. Louis’ social calendar, running annually until 2016. After a triumphant return in 2023, the event continues to serve as both a celebration and a platform for giving back to the community Nelly proudly calls home.

This year’s gala will benefit Make-A-Wish Missouri, an organization dedicated to granting life-changing wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The funds raised will help bring joy, hope, and strength to local St. Louis children. In addition, the event will support scholarships for students at Harris-Stowe State University, a historically Black college and university (HBCU) in St. Louis, which is committed to providing affordable, quality education to underserved communities.

“Last year’s Black and White Ball was a huge success,” said Nelly. “St. Louis showed up in a big way, and we are excited for this year. With the incredible support of our friends, and the St. Louis community, we’re aiming to raise even more funds to make an even bigger impact, and have a great time while doing it!”

Over the years, the Black and White Ball has attracted an impressive list of attendees and performers, including Wyclef Jean, Janet Jackson, Monica, Nick Cannon, T-Pain, En Vogue, Evander Holyfield, Boyz II Men, and local legends like Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Ozzie Smith. The 2023 event maintained this legacy of star-studded elegance, and 2024 promises to be no different.
