There are shows you watch—and then there are shows you experience.

UniverSoul Circus falls firmly into the second category.

From the moment the show began, I was on the edge of my seat, holding my breath and wondering what could possibly come next. The performances were captivating, the energy was electric, and every time I thought we had witnessed the highlight of the night, UniverSoul Circus found another way to raise the bar.

For DELUX, there may be only one way to describe it: the experience of experiences.

UniverSoul Circus Takes Over St. Louis

But calling UniverSoul simply a “circus” doesn’t fully capture what happens underneath the big top.

This is part circus, part concert, part comedy show, part dance party and part cultural celebration—all wrapped into one immersive experience.

An Experience That Keeps You on the Edge of Your Seat

The phrase “edge of your seat” gets used often, but during UniverSoul Circus, it was literal.

There were moments when I realized I was actually holding my breath.

The high-flying performances, daring stunts and incredible displays of athleticism created those moments when the entire audience seemed to collectively stop, watch and wait.

Then came the applause.

And before you could completely process what you had just witnessed, another act was ready to command your attention.

That pacing is one of the things that makes the UniverSoul experience so captivating. There is very little opportunity for the energy to drop.

More Than a Show—It’s Audience Participation

One of UniverSoul Circus’ greatest strengths is its ability to eliminate the invisible wall between the performers and the audience.

You aren’t simply sitting in your seat watching entertainment happen in front of you.

You’re part of it.

The music, dancing, comedy and crowd interaction transform the big top into something that can feel more like a family reunion or celebration than a traditional circus.

Children are entertained, adults are engaged, and multiple generations can find something familiar and exciting within the same production.

That ability to bring generations together is part of what makes the experience special.

Culture Takes Center Stage

UniverSoul Circus also brings an unmistakable cultural energy to the traditional circus experience.

The soundtrack, dancing, humor, style and overall atmosphere create a production that feels connected to the audience in a way that goes beyond the individual acts.

There is joy in the room. There is rhythm in the room. And most importantly, there is a feeling of community.

The result is entertainment that doesn’t simply ask audiences to watch—it invites them to celebrate.

And Then They Took Us to Church

Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, UniverSoul Circus delivered a grand finale that completely shifted the energy.

They took us to church. The ending was soulful, uplifting and celebratory, creating one final shared moment between the performers and the audience.

After an evening filled with breathtaking stunts, laughter, music and nonstop movement, the finale felt like the perfect exclamation point. It wasn’t simply the end of the show. It felt like a celebration.

DELUX Review: Captivating. Exhilarating. Unforgettable.

UniverSoul Circus reminded us why live entertainment still matters.

There is something different about being surrounded by hundreds of people who are laughing together, dancing together, gasping together and cheering together.

You can’t recreate that feeling by watching clips on your phone. You have to be there.

For families looking for something to do in St. Louis, date nights looking for something beyond dinner and drinks, or anyone simply looking for an experience filled with energy and culture, UniverSoul Circus delivers.

We came ready for a night at the circus. We left feeling like we had experienced something much bigger.
