Maybe you remember them….ummm….maybe you don’t [LOL].
The most recent girl group that seemed to have a promising future [in my opinion]. Most people lost hope after Danity Kane fell victim to the “Diva Plague” that ultimately disbanded them, but when the world was introduced to Richgirl, that hope was reintroduced and restructured to a more urban audience. “24’s” featuring Bun B was the first single from Lyndriette, SeVen, Audra, and Christina after Rich Harrison formed the group back in 2007.
Although there was no video put out, the single did get mad airplay.
“He Aint Wit Me Now (Tho)” was the second single/first video put out by them in 2009, offering viewers a “look” at the group. So starts the comparing….

Lyndriette was named the group’s “Beyonce” with her similar look and sound, and the fact that she’s the group’s main lead. SeVen looks very similar to Kelly Rowland, in the fact that she’s dark complected with a long, black weave [LOL]. Christina resembles Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls and Audra…? I think she’s the only one that WASN’T somebody else. Anyway, it seemed like they were doomed from the get-go because they weren’t able to grasp their own identity before we started comparing them.
Their most recent single [recent as in 2010…*serious face*] “Swagger Right” featuring Fabolous and Rick Ross only made it to #72 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts before it crashed. I admit, the song was pretty weak – I’m surprised it made it as far on the chart as it did (probably because of Ricky Ross and F.A.B.O.L.O.U.S.).

But…they have gone BACK into the studio, and are hopefully releasing their severely late self-titled album possibly due out this year. I guess we’ll just have to wait and a see. Until then, you can head to their website and check out their MIXTAPE – or you can go play in traffic with scissors. The scissors might be better…
