Orlando Magic power forward Dwight Howard is selling his Windemere estate, a nearly 8,000-square-foot mansion in the exclusive Lake Butler Sound neighborhood recently listed for $2.49 million. The house starts with carved doors that open up into a double-height entryway befitting a 6-foot, 11-inch NBA All-Star, and lead into a palace similarly sized to scale. Built in 2005, the 4-bed/5.5-bath residence has a Venetian plaster-clad master suite with two-sided fireplace and a 14 by 20-foot closet. Down the hall from the second-story master bedroom is a pair of guest suites, a bar and a home theatre. Downstairs, a gourmet kitchen is flanked by a small office and breakfast bar and opens to an outdoor living space and kitchen that’s centered around a lagoon pool with a swim-up bar.
