Travelling in Africa with his grandfather, L.G.R founder Luca Gnecchi Ruscone discovered a box of sunglasses dating back to the colonial period in an old family-owned warehouse. Fascinated by the history and design of these frames, Luca took a handful back to Italy and as word of mouth quickly spread he was overwhelmed by demand for the glasses. He decided to track down the original Artisanal factory that had produced the frames and re-opened it, manufacturing small quantities of authentic, handmade sunglasses of premium quality and style – and so L.G.R was born. Featured here are several new styles from the eyewear brand, offered in various color choices and available now through oki-ni.
