Fashion, creativity, and community took center stage on October 9th as SIBA (Stevens – The Institute of Business & Arts) transformed Washington Avenue into a living runway for Zipper & Stitch 2025. The annual event celebrated St. Louis’s historic Garment District while spotlighting emerging designers, student talent, and the city’s vibrant creative scene.

From the moment guests arrived, the energy was electric. The block between 15th and 16th Streets pulsed with music, flashing lights, and a crowd dressed to impress. Each collection told a story — from bold streetwear statements to elegant couture-inspired designs — showcasing the innovation and individuality that make St. Louis fashion one to watch.

The event wasn’t just a show, but an experience. Mannequin installations lined the street, local DJs kept the vibes alive, and the community gathered to celebrate artistry in all forms. Following the runway, attendees headed to the 21c Museum Hotel for an afterparty that kept the celebration going late into the night.

“Zipper & Stitch is more than a fashion show — it’s a reminder that St. Louis is still stitching together its creative legacy,” said one attendee. “The talent and passion on display were unmatched.”

With events like this, SIBA continues to honor the city’s fashion heritage while inspiring the next generation of designers and entrepreneurs. Washington Avenue was once again the heartbeat of style, innovation, and possibility.
