Calling all aspiring fashion designers! Italy’s Ecco Domani wines and their Fashion Foundation are hosting their twelfth annual fashion search contest where young designers will be given the chance to compete for a $25,000 grant and the opportunity to present at New York Fashion Week during the Fall/Winter 2013 season They’ll select four winning designers — one womenswear, one menswear, one accessories and one sustainable design — who will be judged by a panel that includes PAPER Mag’s Kim Hastreiter, and T‘s Sally Singer, among many others. To enter, all you have to do is submit an application form, industry references and a two to three minute video that describes your design vision and why you think you deserve to win. The contest began on Monday and will end on October 4th, 2012.
(And, if the award and runway show aren’t reasons enough to enter, here’s another: you’ll be in good company. Previous winners have included basically all of the big movers and shakers in fashion — Zac Posen, Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Derek Lam and Rodarte, among others.)
