Four world premieres, the return of Gaslight Dreams, and an inspiring celebration of movement, music, and storytelling define a season centered on creativity, collaboration, and connection.
Saint Louis Dance Theatre is inviting audiences to experience a season inspired by creativity, connection, and artistic expression. The company’s 16th season, Elements of Harmony, brings together new voices, world premiere performances, and beloved traditions in a celebration of movement, music, and storytelling.
The season reflects the beauty found in diverse perspectives, textures, and experiences. Through dance, audiences will be invited to explore how different artistic voices can create a shared experience that is both deeply personal and universally meaningful.
A Milestone Season Under Artistic Director Kirven Douthit-Boyd

Marking his fifth season as Artistic Director, Kirven Douthit-Boyd introduces an ambitious collection of original works from internationally recognized choreographers whose distinctive styles promise to shape an unforgettable year.
The 2026–27 season will feature four world premieres by:
- Rena Butler – World Premiere (October 2026)
- Keerati Jinakunwiphat – World Premiere (October 2026)
- Dexandro Montalvo – World Premiere (May 2027)
- Houston Thomas – World Premiere (May 2027)
Each choreographer brings a unique artistic perspective, creating performances that reflect innovation, emotion, and the evolving language of contemporary dance.
Beloved Traditions Return

In addition to its world premieres, the season welcomes back Gaslight Dreams, the company’s popular holiday production created in collaboration with Jazz St. Louis. The annual performance blends live jazz with breathtaking choreography to create a festive experience unlike any other in the region.
Audiences will also experience Our Voices, an evening dedicated to showcasing the choreographic talents of Saint Louis Dance Theatre’s own artists. The program highlights the creativity emerging from within the company while celebrating the next generation of dance makers.
A Season Built Around Connection

Throughout Elements of Harmony, dance becomes more than performance—it becomes a conversation. Every production explores the relationship between movement, music, and storytelling while inviting audiences to reflect on the many ways art connects communities and broadens perspectives.
As Artistic Director Kirven Douthit-Boyd shares, the season celebrates “the beauty and balance that dance can bring into our lives,” encouraging audiences to immerse themselves in performances designed to inspire, challenge, and uplift.
