Better Than Ezra, the ‘90s pop/rock band fan favorite, will perform two shows at Lumière Theater on Saturday, October 15that 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. The event celebrates the launch of Rocksmith™ and showcases the game’s partnership with ‘Better Than Ezra’ front man Kevin Griffen and Epiphone guitars, a member of the Gibson family of brands. Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, ‘Better Than Ezra’ self-released their debut album, Deluxe, in 1993. Its single ‘Good’ reached the #1 position on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart driving the album sales to platinum status. After exploding on the music scene, the band has been selling out venues across the country ever since.
“We are thrilled to come back to St. Louis to play not one, but two shows at Lumière Theater and it’s also very exciting to step things up a notch with an interactive event wrapped around our concerts, involving Rocksmith™ and Gibson guitars to engage the fans,” said founding ‘Better Than Ezra’ member Kevin Griffen.
Rocksmith™, created by Ubisoft, is the first and only video game that allows fans to plug into a real guitar. Rocksmith™ is also currently offered in a unique bundle that features an Epiphone Les Paul Junior, giving fans an affordable, high-quality guitar to enjoy the game and also learn how to play. Featuring game play that automatically adjusts to the player’s ability and innovative game design that makes playing music visually intuitive, Rocksmith™ engages experienced musicians as well as those who have never picked up a guitar.
Video consoles will be available for fans to test-drive the game inside Lumière Place prior to the concerts. Media is also invited to tour the Gibson Guitar Tour Bus prior to the concerts.
Tickets for the ‘Better Than Ezra’ concerts on October 15th cost $25.00 each and are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com and the ETC gift shop located inside Lumière Place.
