WHY: Inspired by the 1970 song written by Nina Simone and Weldon Irvine…the inspiring lyrics are just as important today as they were 46 years ago…click on Nina Simone’s name above to hear this amazing song.

WHEN: Join the conversation for Black History Month.

HOW: Record a 15 second video of yourself/family/friends by finishing the statement…”To be young, gifted and black today means…”

• Fancy and non-fancy video recorder, webcam, camera and smart phone videos are accepted.

THEN WHAT: Videos will be compiled and displayed on various social media sites during Black History Month.

• Select authors, of the videos, will be featured in the Mar/Apr issue of Delux Magazine.
