The release of the “S&M” video has been nothing but bad news, first getting itself banned in 11 countries around the world, and now it has earned Rihanna a lawsuit from celebrity photographer David LaChapelle.
The photographer who has worked with Rihanna previously, accuses her of ripping off images from his popular photographs, which have been published in magazines such as The Rolling Stones andVanity Fair. LaChapelle claims ”the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works,” and has copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting.” Sheesh, that’s a lot of ripping off, well you can judge for yourself with the photos provided below courtesy of Dailymail.
