Ok Bey, we know you like to keep us on our toes, but did you really have to hit us with THAT one?
Ever since Beyoncé dropped her surprise album Thursday night, that beehive of hers has been going crazy, not to mention music critics, blogs and every other music lover out there.
The “visual” album is comprised of over 30 tracks including 17 music videos exclusively for the individuals that purchased the album via iTunes.
Did I mention that iTunes CRASHED because of the heavy traffic on the site? Great work Bey!
There was absolutely NO warning. NO marketing prior to release. NO NOTHING JESUS!
Beyoncé’s team explained in a recent press release that the reasoning behind the surprise was to avoid the music being leaked.
Can we say genius?
Sales are skyrocketing through the roof as the word spreads about the self-titled album.
Billboard predicts her album will be in the No. 1 spot by December 18th.
Some of the fans’ favorites are:
“Drunk in Love”—- featuring the “hubbie” Jay-Z
“Blue”—- featuring their beautiful daughter Blue Ivy
“Pretty Hurts”
“No Angel”

One thing is for certain with this album: Bey definitely held it down for her hometown, Houston, Texas.
With guest appearances and support from Houston celebs like Slim Thug and Kirko Bangz, Bey reminds us that Houston is forever in her heart.

Though we know Bey as a business mogul, mother, wife and just overall superstar, Bey also is gaining a lot more recognition as a “creative” for the very artistic touch added to the videos.
She is not only accredited for her artistic contributions but also for revealing a more personal and concerned Bey that fans yearn to see being that the songstress is usually soft-spoken and uber private.
Is there anything this woman can’t do?
My advice: Cop the iTunes version ASAP, and enjoy the beautiful masterpiece Bey and her team diligently put together.
