This restaurant nails good food and customer service. They greet you as you enter and are pleasant while serving the food. I even watched the cashier let a customer checkout when he was $20 short, saying to him matter-of-factly, “I know you’ll be come back with the money.” And before the young man even left the establishment, an employee handed him the $20 to pay the cashier! That’s love.

Their meat selections range from baked and fried chicken to turkey and oxtails. There are so many sides to choose from that I ordered two meals so I could have options. I was able to have four sides to choose from and a meal for dinner and even lunch the next day. I absolutely love when portion sizes are enough for two meals. I ordered catfish and short ribs this time around. The seasoning on my catfish was superb and the short ribs fell off the bone. The mac and cheese was a bit salty but the other parts of the meal balanced that out. I finished the meal with their buttery and juicy peach cobbler. All reasonably priced!

When the weather is good, you will want to arrive as close to their opening hours as possible. Otherwise, you will be stuck, waiting in a line that not only wraps around the tables inside the establishment, but also along the outside of the building. You have been forewarned that the community loves their food enough to stand in long lines for a good meal!
