Who is The Crooked Boot?!  In my opinion one of the best-kept secrets in The Lou — An authentic Creole Food Truck!!!  The Crooked Boot has a unique Creole Southern cuisine with eclectic fusions with the authentic aromas of Cajun Louisiana spices as though you are down in good Ol’ New Orleans.  They cook all their food without pork, which is always a good thing!
The Crooked Boot gives their patrons more than just a “food truck” feel they exude southern hospitality and down south energy that makes you feel welcomed and at home.
When Coria Griggs told me they had been in business for over a year I felt betrayed– I felt as though she was keeping this secret from me lol…  So If you see The Crooked Boot be sure to stop by and tell them DELUX sent ya! Check out our review of The Crooked Boot

I know this article is a little old but I still wanted to thank you for putting together this list. I’ve been actively trying to put my money where my mouth is and be the best ally I can be by supporting as many black-owned businesses as possible. Lists like this one makes it much, much easier. I live in St. Charles so it’s a bit more challenging to find places near me but 2 that I love on this side of the river: Lil Mickey’s BBQ and His + Hers BBQ (Also His + Hers Fried Chicken).
